MARLENA WILD

Marlena Wild is a multidisciplinary artist, mother, and visionary storyteller whose work confronts the erasures of American history and reclaims beauty from shadow.

A Black woman raised in Utah with an LDS background, Marlena uses symbolism, archival imagery, and abstraction to resurrect forgotten narratives and ancestral memory. Her art invites viewers to witness - and to remember.

Marlena earned her BFA in Studio Arts from Brigham Young University and has exhibited her work across Utah, including award-winning pieces at the Springville Museum of Art. In addition to painting and printmaking, she is the founder of La Mere, a fashion line designed to honor the evolving bodies and power of women.

Through her visual work, voice, and designs, Marlena creates portals - spaces where art becomes healing, where beauty becomes protest, and where silence becomes story.
